LEBANESE CUISINE

The Lebanese gastronomy is a rich mixture of various products and ingredients coming from the different Lebanese regions. Olive oil, herbs, garlic and lemon are typical flavors found in the Lebanese diet. Rarely does a meal go by for Lebanese food lovers without superimposing the healthy benefits. Most often foods are either grilled, baked or sautéed in olive oil, while butter or cream is rarely used other than in a few desserts. The cuisine of Lebanon focuses on herbs and spices and the freshness of ingredients, offering an almost limitless combination of tasty dishes. The meals are full of robust, earthy flavors, and like most Mediterranean meals, full of seasonal, healthful and tasty ingredients.

At Abaan, begin your meal with a choice from the traditional soup selection. Then, as per tradition, opt for an assorted cold Mezza which is served with an assortment of Hummus, Moutabal, Kebbeh and pita bread. For a hot and tasty appetizer, try the Kebbeh or the Falafel platter. Fresh salads are offered in the traditional flavors and include Tabbouleh; a salad comprised or fresh parsley, lemon and bulgur wheat, and Fattoush; combination or various greens, lemon dressing and crisp pita chips.

Traditional main courses include Kebabs and Kaftas, and the classic Shish-Taouk. Skewered Prawns are seasoned and then grilled to perfection, which are sure to become star house attraction at Abaan. And let's not forget about the ultimate Lebanese delicacy of tender Mutton Chops in aromatic spices. Fresh fish is also offered and includes snapper, sole and Lebanese style Hamour Fish. The Chicken Shawarma is a classic choice and makes for a perfect choice for Lunch at Abaan. Lastly, but surely not least, enjoy a traditional specialty Lebanese dessert of Baklava and Turkish coffee for the perfect conclusion to an utmost enjoyable meal with friends and family.

We look forward to your visit to Abaan, that is delightfully the Taste of Lebanon.
