ABOUT SANYA MUNEER
Sanya Muneer is
a designer known for her adventurous colour palette, ever
changing aesthetic and trendsetting fusions of eastern and
western cuts. This is not to say that her grasp of the
classic is any less easy making her that rare breed of
designer who can do just about anything. Add to this an
always eclectic choice in fabrics and unbelievably fast
delivery dates and you have an experience that is
professional, prompt and
pleasurable. Being based mostly in Paris, the design hub of
the world, has also lent a touch of the continent to her recent ranges, which has her
clients looking more chic than ever.
With a background in business (she has a degree from
Richmond) and a love for fashion, Sanya was a shoo to
the fashion world. Coming from a talented family full of
famous faces and creative geniuses, Sanya relied on the help
of her famous cousins, Sana and Safinaz, for her first foray
into the realm of karigars and karkhanas. Initial
collections catered to day wear for the working woman, but
it was only a matter of time before she branched out into
evening and bridals. She has however, stuck to her roots as
an affordable designer with quirky and exciting cuts and
accessories, which have ranged from leather to shells to
African beads.
TROIKA SHOE LINE
Sanya Muneer offers her famous Troika brand of shoes
which was established
over 20 years ago and inherited from her mother and aunt. Sanya's shoe
designs are interesting, custom made, unique and elegant. The bridal shoe is a sell-out and a perfect
companion to her bridal outfits. In addition, Sanya is the only local
shoe designer to offer wedges.
