a component of many Japanese delicacies, there are also many
other succulent dishes which are cooked such as TEMPURA
(crispy batter-fried seafood, meat & vegetables), SUKIYAKI
(thin sliced beef with vegetables in a sweet soup), NABEYAKI
(thick noodle soup in a hot pot with chicken and seafood) and
TEPPANYAKI (meat, seafood & fresh vegetables cooked on a plate-table
to seal juicy freshness into every morsel). Dishes that must
be tasted to be appreciated.

Kamameshi's
signature dish is the KAMA MESHI. KAMA means Kettle, MESHI
means Rice. So literally Kettle Cooked Rice. It's a
traditional rice dish from Northern Japan and made of assorted meat and vegetable
toppings, which is cooked in a
special iron pot with house special soya base sauce and served
in the same pot.
Authenticity is
not to be doubted at Kamameshi. The kitchen is managed by a foreign
chef who has 20 years of experience in Japanese cuisine and
fine seafood, having worked in many other countries around the world
such as Dubai, Philippines, Korea and Thailand. The owners are
pioneers of the Japanese restaurant industry in Pakistan
and also own their own fresh seafood processing and exporting company.
Strict
Hygiene Measures
Kamameshi
follows very high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. The international
chefs have been trained abroad in the highest
forms of food handling practices and the staff maintains a high
awareness regarding food handling, hand washing and particularly
freshness and purity standards for the food items. The kitchen and working areas
are maintained hygienic and sanitized through extensive
training sessions, imported standardized cleaning products and
regular checks. Wherever required, the staff is instructed to wear hand gloves.
Since Kamameshi specializes in raw seafood, the expertise and knowledge
of the chefs commonly exceed the expectations of even the most
observant food connoisseurs.
