Whether in
search of delicate dim sum, (Dim sum literally translated
means small food to touch the heart), spicy Szechuan
sizzlers, classic Cantonese sweet and sour flavors, or just
a tasty Chinese take away, Avari International Hotels award
winning Dynasty Chinese Restaurant located at Avari Towers
Karachi and Avari Lahore offer truly authentic Chinese
cuisine, prepared by well trained Chinese chefs under the
supervision of Chef Yu from Hong Kong.
The beautifully laid out and well photographed menu offers a
selection of 139 “lucky” dishes, many of which are cooked in
the classical Cantonese style, in accordance with recipes
mainly from Guandong province in Southern China, or
specifically from Guangzhou (Canton).
Of all the regional varieties of Chinese cuisine, Cantonese
is best known, and best liked outside of China due to its
palatability to westerners, whereby Szechuan cuisine, or
Sichuan cuisine is a style of Chinese cooking originating in
Sichuan province of South western China, where it is famed
for its bold flavors, particularly the spiciness resulting
from liberal use of chili and the numb or tingling flavor of
the all important Szechuan peppercorn.
Although both styles of cuisine draw heavily on pickled and
dried foods in times of short supply of fresh foods, at
Dynasty, it’s all fresh, all the time, with fresh steamed
fish on the menu seven days a week, sizzling and spicy fresh
Tiger prawns, wok fried fresh scallops with ginger, and
fresh lobster, all served with a wide selection of steamed
or wok fried crisp and crunchy fresh green vegetables which
include snow peas, baby broccoli, baby corn, young spinach
leaves, and many types of fresh mushrooms.
The restaurant which also seats 139 “lucky” guests is
popular at lunchtimes with business people and shoppers in
search of a great value meal, with dim sum, hearty soups,
and shrimp or chicken fried rice amongst the favorites,
along with crispy spring rolls, and stir fried noodles.
In the evenings, the lights dim, classical Chinese music
fills the air, and the restaurant is transformed into a
romantic dining venue reminiscent of the great Chinese
restaurants of Hong Kong Island, Shanghai and Beijing, with
black lacquered round tables for ten guests, replete with
spinning lazy suzies groaning under the weight of the
various dishes selected for a typical Dynasty feast, as
recommended by the Chinese master chefs who come to each
table to talk through the menu with the diners, matching the
various Cantonese and Sichuan flavors, of salty, sweet,
spicy and sour.
Dynasty restaurant also offers a home and office catering
service for a minimum of 20 guests, and will tailor make
special menus for every occasion and every taste, whether
spicy Szechuan, or classic Cantonese sweet and sour, or a
combination of both.
Dynasty... Serving Chinese
food just the way you like it for more than 25 years.
