Bistro 76,
owned and managed by the successful Cafe 76, is a specialty
continental gourmet food outlet located in the food court of Dolmen
Mall Clifton. The restaurant serves a select menu of
high quality recipes in addition to some of the signature
dishes that are offered at Cafe 76. The inspiration behind
the bistro was to allow patrons to enjoy fresh, quality
cuisine in a food court where usually only highly processed
food is available. Bistro 76 introduces a new concept and
experience in quick gourmet dining.
GOURMET CUISINE IN A FOOD COURT ATMOSPHERE
The menu incorporates an assortment of on-the-go dishes that
include appetisers, salads, gourmet sandwiches, burgers,
pizzas, wholesome chicken dishes and desserts. All food is
made fresh to order and Bistro 76 is one of the rare mall
eateries that employs a full-time chef. The sandwiches are
prepared with specialty home made ciabatta, focaccia and
panini breads, while the burgers are made fresh with the “76
special herb buns” which are prepared on a daily basis. The
hearty eater won't be disappointed with the various choices
of chicken dishes that are served with a choice of potatoes,
rice or vegetables.
Great care has been taken to
select only the finest ingredients and to incorporate the
most delectable recipes into the menu. Each supplier has been verified and reference
checked with other industry players. Items on the menu have
been selected after an exhausting testing process involving
a whole team and more than 200 dishes. Bistro 76 offers
impressive salads, sophisticated sandwiches and homemade
breads which are ideal for a light lunch or health-conscious
guests. And the hearty eater won't be disappointed with the
various hearty chicken dishes that are served with a choice
of potatoes, rice or vegetables.
Bistro 76 also offers a fine selection of tempting desserts,
ranging from a traditional apple crumble with vanilla ice
cream, crème brule, tiramisu and a truly decadent chocolate
fudge cake to satisfy the most demanding chocolate dessert
enthusiast. Coffee lovers will be pleased with the nice
choice of espresso in traditional and nouveaux forms. Choices include latte,
cappuccino, mocha, Americano and macchiato.
HYGIENE & CLEANLINESS
Hygiene is of utmost
importance at Bistro 76. Although the list is exhaustive, let
us mention a few of the hygiene related regulations
maintained by Bistro 76. The kitchen is air-conditioned to
provide a temperature controlled environment for the food
and the workers. In relation to personal hygiene, the
kitchen and serving staff is checked on a daily basis to
ensure that they meet the cleanliness standards prescribed
by management. This includes fresh uniforms & clothing,
clipped nails and clean hands for kitchen staff and servers.
Upon entering the bistro, all staff members are required to
wash hands with an antibacterial solution before
participating in food preparation or presentation and kitchen
staff is required to wear hats.
All food
items have clearly defined labels with expiry dates and
proper storage techniques are implemented for all poultry
and diary items, all of which must be stored at the correct
temperatures. Separate chopping boards are used for
preparing raw meat, poultry and seafood and for fresh
produce such as salads, fruit and vegetables. Marinades that
have already been used on raw meat for cooked food are never
reused. Only meticulously clean plates are used to serve
food. Knives or other utensils which have been used on raw
meat are cleaned thoroughly before being used on other
foods. Bistro 76 goes the extra mile to ensure cleanliness in
all aspects of food preparation and service.
